Battery Solutions Caribbean Opens Refreshed Store in Zeelandia, Reinforcing Quality and Recycling Efforts

Local, | By Press release February 12, 2026

WILLEMSTAD – In Zeelandia, a familiar name in energy storage has unveiled a refreshed retail space that signals both growth and renewed commitment. Battery Solutions Caribbean, operating on the island since 2014 (formerly known as ZAP Batteries), has steadily built a reputation for supplying European-made batteries backed by some of the strongest warranty terms in the Dutch Caribbean.

Over the past decade, the company has evolved into a key link in Curaçao’s battery supply chain, serving major commercial clients while increasingly focusing on individual customers. The new store reflects that broader ambition. Its expanded showroom presents a comprehensive range of solutions — from automotive, motorcycle and marine batteries to household systems, energy storage units and lithium plug-and-play options designed for solar panel installations.

Alongside these, visitors will find battery management systems, practical accessories for everyday use and specialized cables for automotive, marine and solar applications — a reminder that reliability often lies in the details.

Closing the Loop: Recycling as Responsibility

Environmental stewardship remains central to the company’s operations. In partnership with Green Force, Battery Solutions Caribbean has worked to ensure that used batteries are collected and exported for proper recycling rather than ending up in local landfills or natural areas.

Over the last ten years, the collaboration has resulted in more than 2,000 tons of batteries being collected and processed responsibly. Customers are also offered direct incentive: old batteries can be returned to the new store in exchange for payment — a practical step that makes responsible disposal both accessible and rewarding.

Raising the Standard

Led by a team of trained specialists, Battery Solutions Caribbean positions durability and long-term value at the center of its mission. By promoting higher-quality products with extended warranties, the company argues that fewer replacements translate into reduced waste and a smaller environmental footprint over time.

The philosophy is straightforward: quality and service should not be out of reach. The new Zeelandia location underscores that message, inviting residents and businesses alike to experience the expanded offering firsthand. Visitors can also take advantage of complimentary battery and alternator checks — and, as the team notes with a smile, a good cup of coffee while they wait.

In a market where reliability matters — on the road, on the water or in renewable energy systems — the opening signals more than just a new storefront. It reflects a decade-long trajectory toward higher standards, stronger service and a more sustainable approach to powering the island.
