ATLANTA - Ozzie Albies of the Atlanta Braves has broken his wrist. The 27-year-old from Curaçao will be sidelined for eight weeks.
Albies sustained the injury on Sunday during the lost game against the St. Louis Cardinals (2-6), after opponent Michael Siani slid into his hand while stealing a base.
Albies is a key player for the Braves, for whom he made his debut in 2017. The three-time All-Star has recorded eight home runs and 46 RBIs this season. Albies won the World Series with the Atlanta team in 2021.
