A model project benefiting our community!
WILLEMSTAD - Banco di Caribe has recently made a valuable contribution to Fundashon Vishon Banda Abou (ViBa), a foundation known for its community-focused projects in Banda Abou. The initiative was spearheaded by Dinette Fecunda, who approached the foundation with a plan to empower the youth of Banda Abou and improve their academic performance. After much effort and preparation, the 'ViBa Teach' project was officially launched in 2023.
About 'ViBa Teach'
The 'ViBa Teach' project provides additional support to young people to help them excel academically. Volunteer teachers for subjects like Math and Dutch assist students with homework and various exercises, aiming to boost their self-confidence and academic skills.
In addition to dedicated teachers, the 'ViBa Teach' team has ensured that the students have everything they need to get the most out of the project. This includes a classroom for lessons, laptops and computers, food, and transportation to take the students home after their sessions.
Well-Deserved Praise
Banco di Caribe applauds the achievements of Dinette Fecunda and Fundashon ViBa during the first year of the project. In recognition of their success, the bank has contributed to the initiative by donating a laptop and a computer for the students to use during their lessons. These tools will enable the teachers to present the subjects in an interactive and engaging manner.
