WILLEMSTAD – Parents and guardians in Curaçao who receive government welfare benefits and have children in compulsory education will automatically receive their annual school clothing allowance on July 11, 2025, the Ministry of Social Development, Labor and Welfare has confirmed. The payment will coincide with the regular biweekly disbursement scheduled for the 15th.

To qualify, the child must be between 4 and 18 years old, registered in Curaçao’s civil registry, and enrolled in a government-funded school. Children with a valid residence permit who meet these criteria are also eligible.

Applicants must provide valid identification documents for both the parent or guardian and the child, a school enrollment confirmation for the 2025–2026 academic year, and for low-income households, an income statement from the Tax Office. Those with a local bank account must also submit their account number for direct deposit.

Applications can be submitted at the government’s neighborhood offices in Punda/Banda Ariba, Otrobanda/Banda Abou, Santa Maria, and Brievengat. The final day to file a request or submit an appeal is set for October 3, 2025.
