Aruba Extends Ban on Flights to and from Venezuela Until Late November

ORANJESTAD – The government of Aruba has decided to extend its ban on flights to and from Venezuela by another 90 days, meaning commercial passenger, cargo, and general aviation flights will remain prohibited until November 27, 2025.

The decision was confirmed today by the Aruban Civil Aviation Authority, which informed airlines of the extension.

The ban has been in place since 2019, when the Venezuelan government unilaterally closed its borders with the ABC islands. While Curaçao has since reopened air traffic with Venezuela, Aruba continues to uphold restrictions, citing safety and regulatory concerns.

The extension underscores the ongoing differences in policy between the neighboring Dutch Caribbean islands regarding relations with Venezuela.
