WILLEMSTAD - In the context of World Water Day, which is held every year on March 22, Aqualectra is organizing a seminar on Wednesday. Topics that will be discussed during the meeting include the water production and distribution of the island.
Aqualectra reports that several presentations will be given, which are about how the community can maintain the water quality of the island. In addition, the company says that Curaçao is known for its clean drinking water, which also produces secondary drinking water. This will be discussed during the seminar. The meeting starts at 6.30 pm and takes place at the University of Curaçao.
The aim of World Water Day is to share knowledge about water and the related issues, such as natural disasters caused by water. By organizing events and disseminating information about water, the United Nations hopes to create awareness among people.
