WILLEMSTAD – The organization of Prekario Carnival 2024 and the Urban Planning Service have announced that the registration period for the 2024 carnival permits has been extended by one week until Friday, December 22, 2023.
This extension provides those who have not yet registered or paid their Prekario for the 2024 carnival with additional time to do so. Registration and payment can be completed entirely online. All registered customers will receive an email with instructions for registration and payment.
Prekario is a term used for a type of tax or fee for the use of public land or space. In the context of events like carnival, it refers to the fee that must be paid for placing objects such as trailers or stands on public roads or grounds.
Long Trailers
At the same time, the organization issues a special call to all owners of trailers longer than 6 meters. If they have previously received an oral permit, they should now do so via email or WhatsApp. This should include a photo of a valid ID card, the Prekario permit number, and an email address. The Prekario Carnival 2024 team will then get in touch so that they can receive their permit one day in advance.
