WILLEMSTAD - Yesterday, in Curaçao, the Joint Investigation Team (RST) together with the Curaçao Police Force arrested another suspect believed to be involved in the placement of cocaine in containers destined for Europe. The suspect is identified as 54-year-old F.E.B. The arrest was carried out on the orders of the Public Prosecution Service.
Following the arrest, F.E.B.'s residence was searched under the supervision of an examining magistrate. F.E.B. is employed as a security guard at the Schottegat harbor in Curaçao.
Together with other individuals working at the harbor, he is suspected of being involved in the placement of large quantities of cocaine in containers over an extended period.
Previously, two other security guards and a dockmaster were arrested in this case. These men are currently in detention. Further arrests in the near future are not ruled out.
