WILLEMSTAD - The annual fireworks testing began on Wednesday, with the Fire Department and the Ministry of Health, Environment, and Nature (GMN) working together to test new fireworks and ensure they meet the requirements set by the permit regulations.
During the tests, the authorities measure the burn time of the fuses before the fireworks go off and assess the stability of the fireworks on the ground. Additionally, GMN measures the sound level to prevent excessive noise pollution.
These checks are aimed at ensuring the safest possible use of fireworks by consumers. Fireworks users are reminded to always read the instructions on the fireworks before igniting them.
