WILLEMSTAD - In 2019, the Animal Aid Foundation carried out more than 1,400 free sterilizations and castrations on Curaçao. The organization does this in collaboration with vets on the island.

The foundation thinks that 12,000 fewer dogs were born due to the sterilizations.

The total costs amounted to almost 120,000 guilders. That money raised by donors from mainly the Netherlands.
