Airport authorities announce temporary measures regarding social distancing

WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP), in their continuous efforts to help promote the awareness and practice of social distancing as much as possible has taken the following actions.

Social distancing or physical distancing is a set of nonpharmaceutical infection control actions intended to stop or slow down the spread of a contagious disease, in this case the coronavirus.

Check-in hall:

·         Only passengers are allowed in the check-in hall. Passengers will be allowed to enter the hall in small groups to avoid agglomeration;

·         Every passenger in the check-in hall will receive a flyer with the request to practice social distancing;

·         More counters have been made available to check-in passengers so that the airlines have an empty counter in between their staff;

·         The queuing system has been adjusted in order to create more space available for the passengers.

 

Screening area:

·         Floor tapes have been placed in the screening area to indicate the distance to practice social distancing.

Furthermore, to help increase and promote the awareness, posters and digital images of social distancing have been placed in different sections and digital screens throughout the airport. In addition, there are recorded announcements every 15 minutes.
