WILLEMSTAD - After a period during which the Ambulance Care Foundation Curaçao (FKAK) and the Curaçao Red Cross had faced certain challenges, the two organizations have reached an agreement. It is known that on several occasions, FKAK encountered problems with their vehicles, creating a very difficult situation for an organization that needs to ensure the care and transportation of patients. Ambulance shortages are the main issue in this regard.
Recently, an appeal was made to the Curaçao Red Cross to cooperate when acute situations arise. In extensive discussions between the Ambulance Care Foundation Curaçao and the Curaçao Red Cross, the parties have established a cooperation protocol. From the outset, the Red Cross has shown that it cannot leave the Curaçao community without assistance. The agreement stipulates that in situations where FKAK lacks ambulances, they will reach out to the Red Cross, and the Red Cross will make an ambulance available.
FKAK is pleased with this agreement with the Curaçao Red Cross, and the Red Cross is thankful for the ongoing trust that allows them to help our community, as the largest volunteer organization in Curaçao.
