WILLEMSTAD - The Advent Hospital has expressed regret after a patient recently turned to the media to voice complaints about his treatment. The man, who underwent eye surgery in July, claimed he had to wait over three weeks before being able to see an ophthalmologist to address post-surgery issues. He reported experiencing limited vision following the operation and sought public attention for his case.
In response, the hospital issued a statement clarifying that the patient's concerns had already been addressed before he brought his situation to the media.
"If the patient had another concern, Advent would have appreciated if he had reached out to us again. Advent does everything it can to address its patients' complaints, as the care and well-being of our patients are our priority. We remain committed to providing quality care to all our patients," the statement read.
Advent emphasized its dedication to patient care and encouraged patients to communicate directly with the hospital regarding any issues.
