ADC BIOSCH AWARD 2025 Celebrates Outstanding Youth in Biology and Chemistry

National Laboratory Encourages High School Students to Excel in Science

WILLEMSTAD – For the seventh consecutive year, ADC N.V., Curaçao’s national laboratory, has hosted the BIOSCH Awards—a special ceremony honoring graduating students from VSBO (T.K.L.), HAVO, and VWO who earned the highest marks in biology and chemistry, two key scientific subjects with immense value to the future of research and innovation.

On July 1, the nominees were celebrated in a festive and relaxed setting, with music by DJ Jeay and master of ceremonies Chris Strick, who also serves as an ADC ambassador. In the presence of their parents and teachers, the students proudly received their official ADC BIOSCH Award along with a symbolic gift.

“For ADC, this is more than a celebration of impressive grades—it’s about recognizing the passion and dedication of these young minds. These students are tomorrow’s analysts and professionals. Science begins with curiosity, and that’s why we view it as our social responsibility to encourage and motivate youth from an early age. Together, we can shape the scientific experts of the future. We are proud to organize the ADC BIOSCH Awards and hope this initiative continues to inspire more young people to learn, to dream, and one day make a difference—for themselves, for their community, for science, and maybe even for our national laboratory,”
said Crystal Willems, Communications Manager at ADC.

On behalf of ADC, congratulations to all the winners. Keep exploring, keep asking questions, and keep growing. The future is yours.

ADC also expressed gratitude to the companies that supported this meaningful youth initiative by donating gifts for the students: The Movies Curaçao, Karakol N.V., and Lapal Group. Special thanks go to the participating schools for nominating their students—and a warm invitation to all high schools to register for next year: "ADC BIOSCH Award 2026 is watching!"
