ADC and CMC reach agreement on payments and services

Local | By Correspondent July 5, 2023

WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) and Analytical Diagnostic Center (ADC) have successfully reached an agreement regarding payments and services. This agreement comes after ADC threatened to suspend its services due to substantial payment arrears from the hospital.

Under the terms of the agreement, ADC will now directly invoice the Social Insurance Bank (SVB). In addition, the CMC is obligated to initiate repayment of the 14 million guilders debt within 24 hours. This repayment will commence with an initial deposit of 700,000 guilders, followed by weekly payments of 400,000 guilders until the full amount is settled. Discussions to determine a resolution for the remaining outstanding amount of approximately four million guilders will take place in October.

As a result of this agreement, ADC has lifted the seizure of funds from the CMC at the SVB, and the provision of services by ADC to the CMC will return to normal.
