WILLEMSTAD - The Immigration Service introduces, starting November 15, 2023, adapted forms for the declaration of guarantee, employer declaration, student declaration, and the so-called 'Notification of Final Departure' (Kennisgeving Definitief Vertrek). The introduction of these adapted forms has a transition period of three months. As of February 15, 2024, the old forms will no longer be valid.
Declaration of Guarantee, Employer, Student, and Naval Crew
When submitting a petition requiring the use of one of the mentioned declarations, a NAf. 10,= stamp must be affixed to each. The form has a designated space for attaching the stamp. Starting February 15, 2024, declarations that remain unmodified will not be accepted. The new forms, available in four languages, can be downloaded from the Immigration Service website www.immigrationcur.org.
Permanent Departure Notice
The Immigration Service is also introducing a new form for the 'Notification of Final Departure' (Kennisgeving Definitief Vertrek). This form is used when a foreigner permanently leaves the country. The foreigner must schedule an appointment with the Immigration Service to obtain the form, after paying the required fees and charges for this procedure. With this form, the foreigner obtains a stamp from the Public Prosecutor's Office and two stamps from the Tax Office. Afterward, the foreigner goes to the Civil Registry (Kranshi). Finally, the foreigner returns to the Immigration Service with the completed form containing the stamps and the receipt from the Civil Registry showing the removal of their name.
As of February 15, 2024, the old forms will no longer be valid. If a foreigner has the old form for the permanent departure process, they must visit the Immigration Service to exchange it for the new form. The Immigration Service requests everyone to take note of these changes.
