Abandoned bag sparks security protocol at Hato Airport"

WILLEMSTAD - On Tuesday at 7:20 PM, an abandoned bag discovered in the arrival hall of Hato Airport led to a brief commotion, according to a report by Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP). 

In response, the Safety and Security Protocol was promptly activated, leading to the evacuation of the airport. Authorities diligently followed safety procedures to ensure the securement of the area. Subsequent investigations revealed that the abandoned bag posed no actual threat. 

The police, after confirming that there was no cause for concern, officially reopened the arrival hall at 8:20 PM. CAP assured the public that operations at the airport swiftly returned to normal following the short-lived disturbance. 

Passengers and airport personnel cooperated with the safety measures in place, highlighting the effectiveness of the airport's security protocols.
