WILLEMSTAD - The Netherlands Film Fund donates 950,000 euros to the Curaçao film producer Caribbean Filmcom for the production of a new film project.
The film E Liña Final is about a former Member of Parliament who returns to his native island Curaçao, where he wants to make a political comeback. While running, he meets a homeless ex-addict. They decide to run a marathon against each other, each with their own motivation to win.
It is the first time in Curaçao history that a local film project receives funding from the Netherlands Film Fund. E Liña Final is produced by Michel Drenthe of Caribbean Filcom. The direction is in the hands of Hesdy Lonwijk and the screenplay is written by Roelof-Jan Minneboo.
