ROTTERDAM - 697 kilos of cocaine was found in a container in Rotterdam originating from Curaçao on Monday.
During a customs check, customs officers found 23 sports bags with packages in a container with batteries. The container was destined for a company in Kampen that, the Public Prosecution emphasizes, seems to have nothing to do with the smuggling. The drugs have since been destroyed.
The HARC team, a 27-year-old partnership of Customs, FIOD, Seaport Police and the Public Prosecution Service in Rotterdam, is investigating the case further.
