WILLEMSTAD - 55 singers have signed up for Seú (harvest) festival Kantadó Mayó. The registration took place on Saturday at the community center in Sta. Maria. Since the outbreak of the pandemic in 2020, the festival has not been held. This year the event will take place from 14 to 18 March at the tennis court of Mundu Nobo.
The winning song will be the road march for the Seú parade on Monday, April 10. Seú was created during the slavery period. The instruments that are played are the tambú (drum), chapi (metal agricultural tool) and kachu (cow's horn).
