30,000 tax numbers issued by the Tax and Customs Administration

Local | By Correspondent April 4, 2023

WILLEMSTAD - To speed up the issuance of tax numbers (crib), the Tax and Customs Administration has issued 30,000 crib numbers for residents of Curaçao in the past two weeks, the Ministry of Finance has announced.

In this way, the Tax and Customs Administration hopes to provide the working population with a crib number, so that employers can submit the collective wage statements no later than April 28.

Crib numbers have been mandatory for everyone who has to pay tax since January 1, and employers are obliged to include their employees' numbers in the 2022 collective wage statement. This must always be filled in truthfully. It is a criminal offense to provide incorrect information to the tax authorities.

It is also possible for non-residents to request a crib number from the Tax and Customs Administration. This also makes it possible to pay taxes and premiums.

The new customer service department of the Tax and Customs Administration also opened on Monday to provide crib numbers, among other things.
