WILLEMSTAD - In 2019, 17 people died in traffic on Curaçao. A total of nine people died on the Helmin Magno Wiels Boulevard and the Road to West Point.

This was announced by the police yesterday in a press conference. In Curaçao, most road deaths were caused by speeding or driving up a road without looking carefully.

The majority of road deaths fall between Friday and Sunday. Most victims are men between 20 and 29 years old.
