WILLEMSTAD - On Saturday, 153 students left for the Netherlands, accompanied by representatives from the Stichting Studiefinanciering Curaçao (SSC). As expected, there were many emotions during the farewell. The students will continue their studies in Utrecht, Eindhoven, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and The Hague.
The students have chosen fields such as nursing and medicine, law, and Fine Art. The latter is becoming increasingly popular among young people. There are also some students pursuing journalism and international business.
Fine Art
The rising popularity of Fine Art as a field of study is noteworthy. More and more young people are opting for creative and artistic courses. At the same time, the demand for medical professionals remains high. The number of students choosing nursing and medicine confirms this trend. Studies in law, journalism, and international business also remain popular among students.
SSC plays a crucial role in supporting these students by providing financial resources and guidance. This year, nearly 200 scholarships were awarded, an increase of over 10 percent compared to last year.
