WILLEMSTAD - Over the past weeks, the 13th Raiding Squadron, comprising over a hundred marines, has undergone training in Curaçao. This training was conducted in conjunction with the Combat Shooting Instructors course.
According to Defense, the cross-pollination of training and education allowed the platoons to optimize their skills. During the course, thirteen marines were trained as combat shooting instructors.
The focus of the 13 RSQN training was on Live Fire shooting exercises, involving practice with all the unit's weapon systems, which comprise more than ten types of weapons. The exercise started on a small scale and eventually scaled up to Squadron level, involving over a hundred marines.
Curaçaoan military personnel were also involved in the exercise, providing necessary support.
