126 endangered Hawksbill Turtles born

WILLEMSTAD - Tourists and interested people were the unique witnesses of the birth of 140 sea turtles in recent days.

A seriously endangered species, of which only 25,000 live in the tropics.

This kind of nesting is rarely done during the day. 126 turtles made it with the help of volunteers from Sea Turtle Conservation Curaçao.

They kept an eye on the nests among the tourists of Blue Bay for 60 days.
