WILLEMSTAD – The Federashon Futbòl Kòrsou (FFK) has dismissed images circulating on social media claiming to show Curaçao’s official World Cup jersey, saying the design is not authentic.

According to FFK president Gilbert Martina, the shirt design currently being shared online is not the official home kit that the national team will wear.

Martina responded to the growing speculation by clarifying that the images do not represent the final design approved by the football federation.

“The design shown in the photos is not the official home kit design,” Martina said.

The circulation of the images sparked excitement among football fans, particularly as Curaçao prepares for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026, where the island is expected to unveil a new official match kit as part of its international campaign.

The football federation confirmed that work on the official jersey presentation is still ongoing.

According to FFK, the official unveiling of Curaçao’s new national team shirt is planned for around May 24.

Until then, the federation is urging supporters and the wider public not to treat the leaked images as official.

The federation says fans should wait for the official presentation, which is expected to include the final home kit design and possibly additional team apparel ahead of international competition.

The anticipation surrounding the new jersey reflects growing national excitement around Curaçao football, as the national team—known locally as the Blue Wave—continues preparations for one of the biggest stages in world football.

The shirt shown in the photo is not the official World Cup kit, according to Gilbert Martina (Federashon Futbòl Kòrsou), reported by Falki Deportivo.
