WILLEMSTAD – Kas di Teater, a project of Teatro Bulabanda, is inviting young people in Curaçao aged 14 to 24 with a passion for drama, theater, and artistic expression to its open house event on Saturday, August 16.
The initiative aims to nurture young talent by providing training in acting, stage movement, voice projection, and participation in a variety of productions. More than just entertaining performances, Kas di Teater focuses on thought-provoking works that deliver strong messages and address real-life issues without fear.
From September through December, participants will work together to produce a major family-friendly theater piece, to be presented at the end of the year. Future cycles will dive deeper into other aspects of performance and storytelling.
“We believe that by developing our young people’s talent on stage, we can help create a better Curaçao,” the organizers stated. The open day will feature demonstrations from instructors, including well-known theater figure Albert Schoobaar, giving attendees a glimpse of what they can expect during the program.
Registration can be done online via https://bitly.cx/ApqxW or in person on the day of the event. Parents are welcome to accompany minors.
Kas di Teater is located at Casa Moderna, Madurostraat 60 in Punda. Thanks to support from the VriendenLoterij Fonds in the Netherlands, participation opportunities are also available for young people from low-income families. Entry to the open house is free.
