Curaçao composer Vernon Chatlein nominated for Music in Media Awards 2026

AMSTERDAM – Curaçao composer Vernon Chatlein has been nominated for the Music in Media Awards 2026, earning recognition for his work in film.

Chatlein is nominated in the short film category for his contribution to Toen Ik Klein Was, Was Ik Niet Bang. The nominations for the annual awards, which honor music in film, television, and other media, were announced this week.

He is among a group of nominees that includes several well-known names from the Dutch music and film industry, highlighting the international level of competition.

The awards ceremony will take place on April 16 during a gala event in Amsterdam. Winners will be selected by an international jury made up of professionals from the media and music sectors.
