WILLEMSTAD - Five local investors have joined forces for the hotel project The Wikènt (The Weekend) on Lagun. It concerns Chiarra Lo-a-njoe, Lysayé de Windt, Michael Joseph, Ivan de Windt Jr. and Maharo Isenia.

The hotel project consists of three luxury cabanas, an integrated kitchen with a large deck combined with a massage room and a spa. The initiators also call the cave to reach the sea an attraction of the accommodation.

Construction work begins this week. The Wikènt expects to welcome its first guests in July 2022.

The five got their inspiration from foreign investors who see business opportunities on the island. A positive development that shows that Curaçao has a lot of potential, according to the local entrepreneurs.

They hope to inspire other local investors to further develop Curaçao. According to them, it will be nice if more Curaçaoans own and operate holiday accommodations.
