Significant increase in the number of KLM seats to the Caribbean islands

SCHIPHOL - KLM will fly more passengers to and from the Caribbean this winter. The number of seats will be increased by more than twenty percent. For example, KLM offers Curaçao at least ten times a week, with two flights a day during the Christmas period.

On the flight to Aruba in combination with Bonaire, KLM will use the largest aircraft in its fleet, the Boeing 777-300ER with 408 seats on a daily basis.

KLM's network will comprise a total of 163 destinations this winter. This means that the supply remains almost at the same level as last year. Four new routes are being launched within Europe. In addition to the capacity expansion to the Caribbean islands, the expansion to the United States is also striking.

North America

The intercontinental network includes 71 destinations. Nineteen of these are located in Canada, the US and Mexico. By flying more often and with larger aircraft, the seat capacity there will increase by eleven percent, compared to the period before the corona crisis.

KLM's new Premium Comfort class can be booked this winter to various destinations in the US and Canada. In this class, which is somewhere in between Economy Class and World Business Class, customers experience a new KLM service concept in a separate cabin with, they say, comfortable seats and plenty of legroom.

South America

The number of available seats on flights to South America will increase by six percent this winter. KLM flies daily to Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Peru. Costa Rica is flown four times a week. KLM will operate five flights a week to Paramaribo, also with the Boeing 777-300ER. KLM will also combine Buenos Aires in Argentina with Santiago de Chile in Chile.
