Wingo announces new flight to Curaçao

288 additional seats per week from Bogota, Colombia

WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB), Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP), Curaçao Airport Holding (CAH) and Curaçao Hospitality and Tourism Association (CHATA) are pleased to announce an additional 288 seats into the destination from two new flights added by Wingo. The flights to Curaçao will originate from Bogota, Colombia.

"We are very pleased that Wingo has added Curaçao to their destinations. Thru this new partnership we look forward to welcoming many more Colombian visitors to discover all Curaçao has to offer", said Paul Pennicook, CEO of the Curaçao Tourist Board. The flights will commence second week of April 2019 just before Holy week (Easter). Meaning that as of April 2019, Curaçao will have 13 flights per week from Bogota, Colombia. Colombia is a fast-growing market for Curaçao. Colombia is currently the number 3 market. In 2018, Curaçao welcomed 23,593 Colombian visitors, an increase of 38% compared to 2017. Wingo’s flight will be on Thursdays and Sundays. All flights will be operated with a Boeing 737-700.

 

With the addition of the new flight to Curaçao, Wingo will have a total of 19 routes in 16 cities and 9 destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean. We look forward to welcoming more visitors from Colombia.
