Winair expands network with three new destinations

PHILIPSBURG - Winair has announced the addition of three new destinations to its network, enhancing regional connectivity in the Caribbean. The announcement was made this past weekend, marking an important milestone for the airline. 

The inaugural flight to Barbados took place on Saturday, followed by a combined route serving Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent. Flights to Barbados will operate three times a week, offering convenient connections to Martinique and Dominica. The Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent routes will be serviced twice weekly. 

Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport, and Telecommunication, Grisha Heyliger-Marten, emphasized the significance of this expansion: 
"Winair is taking the lead in making travel between our islands simpler, faster, and more affordable. This initiative strengthens unity within the Caribbean region and boosts regional tourism." 

The new routes are expected to facilitate greater ease of travel for residents and tourists alike, promoting economic growth and cultural exchange across the islands.
