Brian Mingo, CEO of Princess Juliana International Airport, emphasized the importance of the conference: “Inter-island collaboration is crucial for airports in the region. This conference provides a platform to share knowledge, explore innovative solutions, and work together on the future of aviation in the Caribbean.”

The conference featured presentations from local and international experts, panel discussions, and networking opportunities. A hybrid format allowed both in-person and virtual participation, ensuring accessibility for a broad audience.

PJIA’s Pivotal Role

Princess Juliana International Airport, the second-busiest airport in the northeastern Caribbean, processes 1.5 million passengers annually. It serves as a vital hub for neighboring islands such as Saba, Sint Eustatius, and Anguilla. Currently nearing the final stages of an extensive renovation, the airport was recently inaugurated by Princess Beatrix.

The DCCA Conference underscored the importance of regional cooperation and innovation, setting the stage for a sustainable future in Caribbean aviation.
