Record number of cruise ships brings 9,100 visitors to Curaçao

WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao experienced a successful day for its tourism sector yesterday with the arrival of four cruise ships, bringing a total of 9,100 passengers. This marks the first time this cruise season that four ships have docked on the island at the same time. 

The Emerald Princess arrived with more than 3,000 passengers and over 1,100 crew members, docking at the Mega Pier Ernest Jackie Voges. The Oceania Insignia, with nearly 600 passengers and 400 crew members, berthed at the Motet Pier. The Carnival Horizon, carrying over 4,700 passengers and 1,400 crew members, docked at the Mega Pier Tula. Finally, the Seven Seas Grandeur, with more than 700 passengers and 500 crew members, arrived at Waf Mathey. 

The visitors enjoyed the beauty and unique experiences that Curaçao has to offer. Such days, with four ships simultaneously docking, are expected to occur more often this month. On December 4, three cruise ships are expected, while on December 7, four ships will dock again. Three ships are also expected on December 11 and 12.
