WILLEMSTAD - This year Pride Curaçao will take place from Friday, September 23rd through Sunday October 2nd. The preparations for this year's events are in full swing and can count on a lot of support from the community itself, the representation of the Netherlands and also more and more from society. For example, in addition to the usual parties, there are many cultural and educational initiatives from FOKO, Igualdat Korsou and CuraPlus.  

"We are delighted that this year's Pride Curacao can count on so much support. Also, on the commercial side we have a lot of support from the CTB and of course from our main sponsor Brasa Bier. They have designed and printed great t-shirts in all colors of the rainbow. A wonderful initiative that we are very happy with. In this way we are also going full steam ahead after the Covid-19 period. During this week we call on companies, government agencies and individuals to hoist the rainbow flag and brighten up their logo on social media with rainbow colors. This way companies can show that everyone is welcome with them, all customers, and all employees. We have put together a wonderful program that can be found on our website and Facebook page. In it you can find all the events, such as the Pride Walk, The Rainbow Lounge XL, Navigaytion Sea Parade, but also for the first time a collaboration with Alegria Bacchanal Jump In."   

In 2021, Pride Curaçao chairman Frank Holtslag received a royal award for his work and commitment to Pride Curaçao. That the event can continue on this scale makes him more and more hopeful for the future of Pride, but above all for the acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community on the island, on which the event is based.
