WILLEMSTAD - Thirteen Curaçao accommodations affiliated with Casha reported an impressive 86% occupancy rate for April, marking a 10% increase compared to the same month last year.
According to the interest group representing small vacation rentals, the start of 2023 has been promising. A total of 1,470 tourists enjoyed their stay at these accommodations in April.
Casha also notes a significant number of last-minute bookings this month, which they attribute to the persistently high-ticket prices. Landlords have observed that tourists find the cost of groceries on the island to be quite expensive.
Moreover, there has been a decline in the number of tourists arriving from the Netherlands. Casha suggests that the Dutch market is not performing as expected.
