New Tour at Curaçao Rif Mangrove Park Brings Island's Underwater World to Life

WILLEMSTAD – To celebrate the launch of the new Caribbean Guilder currency, Carmabi is unveiling a unique interactive exhibition at Curaçao Rif Mangrove Park. The showcase highlights the fascinating marine plants and animals featured on the recently introduced banknotes, immersing visitors in Curaçao’s aquatic wonders.

Starting March 29, 2025, guests can explore the island’s remarkable marine biodiversity through engaging, educational displays. New informational panels—developed with funding from the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten (CBCS)—provide detailed insights in English and Papiamentu about the depicted species. Similar panels in English and French will debut in Sint Maarten, extending the focus on marine conservation across the region.

Rangers Bring Nature to Life

The park’s expert mangrove rangers will share vivid stories about the featured flora and fauna, emphasizing their critical role in local ecosystems. This exhibition aligns with Carmabi’s mission to make environmental education both accessible and inspiring, reinforcing the urgency of conservation efforts.
