WILLEMSTAD – The Hanseatic Nature, a luxurious expedition cruise ship operated by Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, made its inaugural visit to Curaçao today, docking at the Mega Pier Ernest Jackie Voges. 

To mark this special occasion, a traditional plaque exchange ceremony was held between the ship’s captain and representatives from the Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA), Maduro Shipping, the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB), and Customs.

CPA officials highlighted the significance of attracting luxury and expedition vessels, which bring high-spending visitors to the island. "This visit underscores Curaçao’s appeal as a diverse cruise destination," said a CTB representative. "We’re committed to enhancing our infrastructure to welcome more ships like the Hanseatic Nature in the future."
