Kla Pa Turismo: First 45 participants start training

ENNIA sponsors 300 employment insurances.

WILLEMSTAD - The official inauguration of the "Kla Pa Turismo" project took place on Thursday, January 16, 2020. During a very pleasant morning, CHATA, together with partners Ministry of Economic Development (MEO), Ministry of Social Development, Labor and Welfare (SOAW) and PMO Growth Strategy Curaçao, welcomed the first 45 participants of "Kla Pa Turismo". These participants will start training on Monday January 20. The inauguration took place at ENNIA, a proud CHATA member and also the main sponsor of this project.

At the start of the inauguration, Mrs. Yolene Felipa-Lobato from ENNIA considered the importance of the latest tourism developments on our island. It is for this reason that ENNIA has great confidence in the project and has also publicly announced that the company will sponsor 300 employment insurances for the participants during the "Kla Pa Turismo project. Mr. Luelo Girigorie, representative of Ministry of Economic Development (MEO), Minister Hensley Koeiman of Ministry of Social Development, Labor and Welfare (SOAW) and Mr. Oz Eleonora, representative of PMO Growth Strategy also gave a welcoming presentation to the present participants.

The first 45 participants will start Monday, January 20, 2020 with the programs "Kitchen Assistant" and "Service Assistant" at Marnix College Cas Cora. The "Hospitality Security Assistant" and "Housekeeping" programs will also be given in the following groups. The content of the program is entry level and is derived from to the "on the job learning" concept. Teachers with didactic skills and who have experience in the subject will be responsible for the lessons; within the teaching companies as well. The practical period in the various teaching companiess takes max. 5 months and will end with a practical exam. The companies where the participants will work and learn for 5 months are: Chogogo Resort, Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort, Corendon Mangrove Beach Resort Curacao, Papagayo Curaçao, Hemingway Restaurant, Nemo Restaurant, Piazza Restaurant, Chill Beach Bar & Grill, Restaurant & Café Governor De Rouville, Kura Hulanda Lodge & Beach Club, Morena Resort Curacao, Oasis Coral Estate Beach, Dive & Wellness Resort, AM Resort, Baoase Luxury Resort and Securitas.
