JetAir eyes Kingston as one of its destinations

WILLEMSTAD, KINGSTON - Curacao-based Jetair Caribbean has received its air operator's certificate from the Curacao Civil Aviation Authority and is eyeing three Caribbean destinations including Kingston.

Jetair will be limited to charters until it completes paperwork to operate scheduled flights between Curacao and other countries. In addition to Kingston, charters to Port-au-Prince, Haiti and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic are being considered.

It is also looking at South American routes including Medellin and Barranquilla in Colombia.

The airline plans to begin operations with two jets, capable of seating about 80 passengers each.
