WILLEMSTAD - Hotels in Curaçao are seeing an occupancy rate exceeding 90% during the Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival (CNSJ), according to CHATA Director Anuschka Cova. The popular multi-day music event continues to draw large crowds of tourists to the island each year.
Cova noted that around 15% of visitors attending the festival come from the United States, while another 15% arrive from the Caribbean, including Aruba and Sint Maarten. Latin America and Europe account for the majority of attendees, with 35% of tourists each from these regions.
While some hotels are filled due to artists and sponsors staying for the event, Cova emphasized that the high occupancy rate is primarily driven by tourists. She also highlighted that there is room for improvement in transportation between Caribbean islands, as many regional visitors were unable to secure flights to Curaçao for the festival despite strong interest.
The CNSJ continues to be a significant draw for international tourists, boosting the local hospitality industry during the festival period.
