WILLEMSTAD, KRALENDIJK - Local airline EZ Air starts the commercial flights to between Bonaire and Colombia after almost a year of preparations.

In the first instance, this involves two weekly connections between Curaçao and Barranquilla with effect from 14 January 2020, whereby according to EZ Air director René Winkel there is an almost seamless connection to flights from and to Bonaire.

A long period of preparation preceded the flights. A few months ago, EZ Air had to give a presentation to the aviation authority in order to get permission to operate the flights.

Aeronáutica Civil also performs an assessment to see if all conditions are met; not only when it comes to documentation, but also when it comes to airworthiness and maintenance of the devices.
