Curaçao Pride 2021 will continue this year

WILLEMSTAD - This year the Curaçao Pride will take place from September 30th to October 3rd. The Curaçao Pride traditionally starts in the last week of September and draws attention to equal rights for the LGBTQI-community. Unfortunately, the Curaçao Pride was unable to take place in 2020 due to the Covid-19 measures. The organization has therefore been given a lot of time to properly prepare the Curaçao Pride 2021 based on the current circumstances. Appropriate distance rules and a visitor maximum will logically be taken into account, as indicated by the government. We ask people to register with the organization via WhatsApp.

“We are delighted that the Curaçao Pride can continue this year. We have put together a wonderful program that can be found on our website and Facebook page. During this week we call on companies, government agencies and individuals to raise the rainbow flag. Landhuis Bona Vista will be the Pride Mansion this year, as two major Pride events, the Rainbow Lounge and the White Party will take place there. Helena Seferina, managing director of CHATA will address the audience during the Rainbow Lounge. Furthermore, a brunch is organized at restaurant Kome and there is a Sea Parade with Blue Finn charters.”

Earlier this year, the chairman of the Curaçao Pride Frank Holtslag received a royal award for his work and commitment to the Curaçao Pride. He is therefore very pleased that the Curaçao Pride can continue this year, and that a new start can be made with this important event. The program can be found on www.curacaopride.com and on the Facebook page www.facebook.com/curacaopride. For information, registration and tickets, please contact +5999 6927091.
