CTB and hotel partners re-connects virtually to keep conducting business with travel agents in Latin America

WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) together with 3 local hotels partners, recently participated in the virtual trade event Destino AVIAREPS Latin America 2021. Over the course of two days, the Curaçao team seized the opportunity to reconnect, speak, exchange thought and gather information from the key tourism industry partners in the Latin American region. In addition to Curaçao, a total of 74 exhibitors from different countries participated in the fair. Over the two days of the event, the CTB booth exchanged thousands of ‘virtual business cards’ and chatted with hundreds of Travel Agents, mostly from Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Pero and Argentina. These agents showed a genuine interest in new and different destinations such as Curaçao, for their clients.

The Curaçaoteam had two booths where, among other things, CTB representatives for the Latin American region shared information on the attractive product Curaçao has to offer, including the protocols that apply in our country and the available airlift. In an adjoining booth, the representatives of Corendon Mangrove Beach Resort, Dreams Curaçao Resort, Spa & Casino and the Curaçao Marriott Beach Resort shared updated information on how their respective properties have adapted to comply with the needs of today’s travelers. Throughout the day, visitors to the virtual fair were able to follow several presentations, including an updated presentation on Curaçao’s tourism product. The team also held meetings with key partners in the Latin American region and discussed business opportunities with Latin American travel agents, as these agents have groups pending to identify destinations for events such as corporate meetings, family reunions and weddings.

CTB will continue to actively participate and organize virtual platforms to keep doing business with our clients to stimulate an increase in visitor arrivals to Curaçao.
