WILLEMSTAD - Minister Ruisandro Cijntje of Economy is in favor of the management of the beaches by the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB). To date, CTB has regularly taken responsibility for the maintenance of the beaches.  

Cijntje says she is in favor of this decision. Management is an official task of the Ministry of Health, Environment and Nature (GMN), but due to a lack of financial resources at GMN, CTB regularly takes on this task.  

From a tourist point of view, CTB has an interest in the beaches remaining attractive to tourists and therefore agrees with Cijntje's decision.  

It concerns the beaches Caracasbaai, Daaibooi, Santa Cruz, Lagun, Jeremi, Kleine Knip, Grote Knip and Forti.
