Once again, some trade unions believe that they are the mouthpiece for the people. Not for me in any case. The fact that they want a general strike this week is nothing more than an attempt to get their way.

While half the world condemns the situation in Venezuela, these people think that we should 'talk' with Mr. Maduro. It is clear that the men and women of these trade unions hold different agendas and are only interested in destabilizing the current situation.

We face different challenges on this island and what we need now is cooperation.

With unnecessary 'bomboshi' we will not get anywhere at the moment. By the way, a few years ago the trade union organization has plunged itself into the political arena. It was a big fiasco and after a few political favor, we did not progress much as a country.
