HRC: no paid work for board members

In various Curaçao media the suggestion was made last week that the current directors of the Human Rights Caribbean Foundation are paid for their administrative duties.

That is not correct, the current board members have always worked for the foundation's target group without receiving any payments. Neither has a decision been taken within the board that ensures that directors will be remunerated in the future for these activities. HRC works with reputable subsidy providers, whereby implicit consent is always required for all costs and expenses. We regret the current image in the media.

Human Rights Caribbean Foundation remains committed to protecting and defending human rights for all who are in Curaçao. Anyone who wants to support the work of the Foundation is welcome to contact us!
