WILLEMSTAD - Starting this Friday May 8, it is again possible to move freely between 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. The “plachi di dia” (license plate of the day) is canceled on that day. Not before!
The curfew from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. will continue. The ban on organizing events also remains. More than 25 people together in one place is prohibited.
From Friday you can swim again from six in the morning until eight in the evening, just like exercising. All companies may also open again on Friday, subject to compliance with social distance and hygiene rules. The rules for restaurants and BBQ stand, or in Papiamento, Truk di Pan, funeral homes, supermarkets and hardware stores will continue to apply.
Restaurants and BBQ stand can only offer delivery or curbside service.
The borders will remain closed until further notice.
The Prime Minister says that Curaçao will enter e new chapter on Friday the 8th of May. “We have achieved a lot, but we are not there yet. That is why little by little we are starting to re-open our local economy, while protecting our community as much as we can, to keep our families safe.”
