WILLEMSTAD – The voting process for Curaçao’s elections has officially ended, and ballot counting is now underway. The Supreme Electoral Council has announced that a party will need 3,662 votes to secure a seat in Parliament.
Out of 111,781 registered voters, 76,897 people participated in the elections, resulting in a 69% voter turnout. This marks a 5% decrease compared to the 2021 elections, when 74% of eligible voters cast their ballots.
With the polls now closed, all eyes are on the results, which will determine the composition of the new Parliament. The counting process is expected to continue into the night.
