Government confirms: two new cases

The government has confirmed the infection at the bank, and is also reporting another new infection, a person from abroad who is now in isolation. The total number of active infections now stands at five. Friday morning at 8:00, epidemiologist Izzy Gerstenbluth will provide more information in an additional press conference.

To date, Thursday evening, it is still unknown whether and how much risk of infection there has been for customers of the bank and people in the living environment of this new patient in recent days. It is also not known how the health of the person is or where he/she contracted the virus. The government does refer to the MCB employee as local infection, which means that the person has contracted the virus in Curaçao.

More information will be provided during the press conference at 8 am.
